Recovery Coaching Program:
Peer Support from Those Who Understand.

Our Recovery Coaching Program connects you with Certified Recovery Peer Advocates (CRPAs)—individuals who have walked the path of recovery themselves. Peer support is built on mutuality—walking together toward recovery, not one person fixing another.

What is a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA)?

A CRPA is an OASAS-certified professional who uses their personal recovery experience to provide non-clinical peer support. They complement clinical treatment by offering hope, practical guidance, and connection to community resources.

OASAS Certified

Trained and certified by New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) to provide peer support services.

Lived Experience

CRPAs have walked the path of recovery themselves, bringing genuine understanding and empathy to every interaction.

Non-Clinical Support

They complement clinical treatment by providing peer support, practical guidance, and connection to community resources.

How Our CRPAs Support You

Our CRPAs provide a range of non-clinical peer support services designed to enhance your recovery journey.

Recovery Mentorship

One-on-one guidance from someone who has successfully navigated recovery.

12-Step Navigation

Help connecting with 12-step programs, finding meetings, and understanding how to work the steps.

Community Resources

Connect with sober living homes, employment resources, and other community supports.

Crisis Support

Non-clinical crisis support, especially after hospitalization or incarceration.

Recovery Education

Learn about different recovery pathways, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT).

Practical Assistance

Help with benefits applications, medical appointments, and navigating early recovery challenges.

What to Expect & Important Boundaries

Understanding what peer support is—and what it isn't—helps ensure you get the most from your experience. Our CRPAs work within clear boundaries to provide safe, effective support.

What Peers DO

  • Provide non-clinical support based on lived experience
  • Offer hope, encouragement, and practical guidance
  • Connect you to community resources and supports
  • Support your self-determination and choices
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and boundaries
  • Support all pathways to recovery, including MAT

What Peers DON'T Do

  • Provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, or treatment
  • Prescribe or manage medications
  • Replace professional medical or mental health care
  • Engage in dual relationships or share information without consent
  • Make decisions for you—you're in charge
  • Provide crisis intervention (they connect you to appropriate services)
