Professional Biography
Elizabeth Kaestner has dedicated her career to human services and client advocacy. Her background includes working as a direct care professional and Medicaid Service Coordinator supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at YAI-NIPD, as well as serving as a Medicaid Service Coordinator at New Horizon Counseling Center. She has also worked as an independent care coordinator for older adults. As a Peer Advocate, Elizabeth focuses on empowering individuals who face barriers to self-advocacy, ensuring each person is heard, respected, and supported throughout their care.
Personal Journey
My own recovery story began in 2009 and has had a winding road of ups and downs over the years. Today, I concentrate on the present and live in today, one day at a time. The decision to change my perspective on Life and to live a Sober lifestyle has been the single best decision I have ever made.
