

Professional Biography
Bowen "Bo" Ben is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Touro University, a CACREP-accredited program, with a foundation in trauma-informed care and evidence-based counseling practices. He completed his clinical practicum at Greenwich House Center for Resiliency and Wellness in New York City, providing counseling to children, adolescents, and adults using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy (NT), and psychodynamic interventions. Before pursuing counseling, Bo served six years in the United States Coast Guard, where he developed strong skills in communication, critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and collaboration under high-pressure environments. His extensive volunteer service includes crisis intervention through Concern Hotline and community outreach with organizations such as City Harvest, the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, and Valley Health Auxiliary, reflecting his commitment to supporting underserved populations. Bo is also a current member of the New York Mental Health Counselors Association, serving on the Board of Directors as a Student Representative. Bo's interdisciplinary background allows him to integrate analytical thinking with compassionate, client-centered care while fostering resilience and personal growth. He is passionate about working with individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, substance use concerns, and life transitions through collaborative, culturally responsive therapeutic relationships.
