Strength in Numbers: Group Therapy on Long Island.
What Is Group Therapy for Addiction on Long Island?
Group therapy is clinician-led counseling with peers who share recovery goals. At our Baldwin office, groups focus on relapse prevention, coping skills, and emotional regulation — practical work you can use the same day you leave session. It is a core part of our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and standard outpatient care on Long Island.
Unlike drop-in support meetings, our groups follow structured curricula and are facilitated by licensed therapists. Members keep jobs and family routines while building accountability that weekly one-on-one therapy alone often cannot provide. Evening tracks make group therapy on Long Island realistic for working professionals and parents.
