About the Role

We are hiring a dedicated Substance Use Counselor (CASAC) to provide direct clinical care to clients in our outpatient addiction treatment program. You will play a pivotal role in guiding individuals through early recovery, helping them develop coping skills, and preventing relapse.

The ideal candidate is passionate about recovery, detail-oriented in documentation, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Multiple Roles Available: We have both part-time and full-time positions available. All positions are Fee for Service based as W2 employees – you are paid based on the work you do while enjoying the benefits and stability of W2 employment.

Flexible Scheduling: This is a unique position where you can dictate your own schedule around your clients' availability. Build the caseload and hours that work for your lifestyle.

Group & Caseload Opportunities: Run morning or evening therapy groups based on your availability, and maintain a caseload of 20-40 individual clients depending on your schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate group therapy sessions covering topics such as relapse prevention, coping skills, and emotional regulation.
  • Provide individual counseling and case management services.
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments and create individualized treatment plans.
  • Coordinate care with outside providers, legal entities, and family members as appropriate.
  • Maintain compliance with OASAS regulations and agency standards for documentation.

Qualifications

  • Current CASAC or CASAC-T certification in New York State.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an OASAS-licensed facility preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the 12-step model and other recovery pathways.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
